Welcome to Mickey’s Toontown! The area opened in Disneyland in 1993, with the Roger Rabbit Car Toon Spin opening in 1994. These are the commemorative tickets and press photos for those premieres. Via Vintage Disneyland Tickets.

Walt Disney’s Dedication of Disneyland
“To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here, age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.”

Part 1 Disneyland postcard booklet. Found this postcard booklet from an estate sale where the person that was selling collected these booklets from all over the country. I was very excited to find some from Disneyland, Disney World and Epcot. There isn’t a copyright date on it, but it was only 25 cents to mail it! It has retired attractions such as the Skyway and the Mine train through Nature’s Wonderland which opened in 1956 and ran to 1977 ( when it was replaced by Thunder Mountain railroad attraction in 1979). Also, the monorail opened in 1960, so I think this book is from the early 1960’s. Boy! Those teacups would be hot to ride in the summer! I will post Part 2 with the backside of the booklet next.
Here’s what Disneyland looked like from above in 1955 and 1988. The photos ran with a June 2, 1988, Times story about Orange County’s growth that was pulled from the archives by Times Image Specialist Scott Harrison.
